Hooked!
I’m totally hooked on robots recently. Well, that brings me to another point. I would seriously recommend Hooked! to fish lovers and it is definitely a much better place to go to than Fish-N-Co. We’ve also became a closeted fan of Cheeky Chocolate and we’ve stopped going to Max Brenner ever since we got addicted on it’s Cheeky Frozen Hot Chocolate.
Anyway, back to the robots. No, I didn’t get hooked on robots because of WALL·E but there’s just something magical about tin robots that is indescribable. Last weekend, I was at The Better Toy Store at Ngee Ann City and while the tin toys really grabbed my attention, I spotted the toy robot that was printed at the back of my namecard! (our cards are personalised with our favourite image or design) Now, I have three tin robots on my table and I just can’t wait to add on to my collection.

The first one would be the Lilliputt Robot NP5357 and it’s an excellent replica of what is thought to be the world’s first tin robot. It first appeared in Japan during the late 1930s. The second one would be the Black Planet Robot (also known as Robby). This robot is awesome because it originated from the 1956 movie “Forbidden Planet” and it was also featured in other movies such as “The Invisible Boy”. What amazes me is that sparks actually fly around in it’s chest panel when you wind it up. The third one is the Baby Robot printed at the back of my namecard. This little thing just go round and round if you wind it up. The last one is not exactly vintage but it was my first robot from Muji during last year’s Christmas.
On another note, we managed to get into Marketing magazine’s Top 10 interactive agencies this year. Seriously, it was totally unexpected. Nevertheless, we have achieved a lot this year and I realised in the coming November, I would have stayed with my agency for 2 years.
